39% Arriba Ecuador Milk Chocolate with Roasted Almonds and Sea Salt

£9.20
sold out

Won a Great Taste this year for this product. This shard came about as some people prefer the fruit and nut shard without the fruit in it. I have been asked to create an Almond shard by many of my farmers market customers.... as everyone loves the Almond clusters I do at Christmas time.

So here we are. I decided to use a higher percentage of Milk chocolate and to make it a bit different to go for a Single-origin chocolate from Arriba in Ecuador. More of a robust flavour for the people who love the cocoa in their milk chocolate and less sweet. I have then paired it with whole roasted almonds with a touch of sea salt to enhance the cocoa flavour. Delicious!

What does Single Origin mean in Chocolate:

Like Coffee and Wine, Cocoa is affected on the flavour from where it grows. In this case, Arriba has an intense body of roasted cocoa with plenty of sweet, caramelly notes and subtle fruity hints. Cocoa is very absorbent so the plants in which it has been grown with will affect the flavour of the chocolate at the end of the whole process. Single Origin Chocolates are more complex in flavour.

When you don't see a country next to my chocolates its a Blend of cocoa making it taste more like you would expect it should taste.
